Like all industries around the world, the life insurance industry in Botswana has been significantly impacted by the pandemic. This impact has not been limited to operational disruptions caused by lockdowns and travel restrictions, it has included a surge in death
and disability claims. In response to the pandemic, the members of ALUB collectively agreed to each provide support to Batswana through donations to the Botswana Government COVID-19 Relief Fund, and to implement various Premium Relief and Premium Holiday options and measures for
policyholders who have been financially impacted.
